NO! The Symphony Electric Fireplace operates for pennies a day. The flame uses slightly under 300 Watts of power. With an average electricity rate, the unit operates for a remarkable 2 cents/hour* providing all the benefits of the exclusive Electra Flame ambience.

When you choose to activate the heat feature, the total cost to operate the flame and heater is approximately 7 cents/hour.* Gas fireplace manufacturers regularly advertise running costs of 17 cents/hour.

On a cool evening with an OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE of +50°F/+10°C, the Symphony Fireplace can comfortably maintain a +75°F/+24°C INSIDE TEMPERATURE in a ROOM SIZE up to 700 sqft/64.7sqm. For example, the room could be 20' x 35' or 6.1m x 10.6m.

In cooler seasons, with OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES reaching +32°F/0°C, the Symphony Fireplace can warm a 435 sqft/40.4 family room to an INSIDE TEMPERATURE of +72°F/+22°C. For example, the room could be 29' x 15' or 8.8m x 4.6m.

On those really cold days when the OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE dips to -4°F/-20°C, the Symphony Fireplace can take the winter blues away by comfortably heating a 242 sqft/22.4 qft living room to an INSIDE TEMPERATURE of +68°F/+20°C. For example, the room could be 12' x 20' or 3.6m x 6.1m.
